We have remained consistent in our belief that the planning process facilitates the deepest understanding of our clients and their goals, allowing us to provide the best possible advice. And we strive every day to ensure that your experience in dealing with us, from how we greet you on the phone or in our lobby to our responsiveness to your questions, is courteous and efficient.
Fiduciary Relationship
Our promise to you is to strive to provide superior insights, superior service, always. When we provide you with financial planning and other investment advisory services, we are guided by our obligations to you as a fiduciary.
A fiduciary can be defined as someone who is required to act with the utmost of good faith and in their clients' best interest. When providing you with financial planning and other investment advisory services, I am held to a fiduciary standard by the following certifying bodies:
Securities and Exchange Commission under the Investment Adviser’s Act of 1940, which governs my financial planning and investment advisory activities.
The CFP Board of Standards which grants the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and maintains practice standards for financial planning and associated investment and insurance implementation activities.
Fi360 which grants the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation and maintains associated requirements.
Compensation
We charge a fee for our financial planning services. The fee is based upon the scope of the planning engagement and the complexity of your situation. At the anniversary of the planning engagement, we will quote a fee for renewal services.
A key element of the planning process is plan implementation. This may involve coordination with other advisors for tax planning strategies, legal documents or other matters. We will help coordinate these activities to ensure their completion pursuant to your plan.
Because we are a full-service firm, we can assist you with the implementation of investment and insurance recommendations. Acting as an advisory representative of Osaic Wealth / Sagemark Consulting, a registered investment adviser, we would receive an advisory fee. If functioning as a registered representative of Osaic Wealth, a broker-dealer (member SIPC), to implement securities transactions, we would receive a commission. Should your plan involve insurance products to address various risk management objectives, we would receive a commission from the company whose product was chosen. This form of compensation, the receipt of a fee for a financial planning engagement or investment advisory services and a commission for securities and insurance transactions is generally referred to as "commission and fee" or “fee-based."
